You're the hero of your journey. I'll be your sidekick.
I am a proud veteran and former police officer who became a psychologist after witnessing the lasting impact that trauma and devastation cause. My origin story comes from an upbringing in the Pacific Northwest. I moved to San Diego after being stationed here in the Navy in January 1997. I have an ethnically mixed background (Black and White) and am proud to connect with as many people coming from diverse backgrounds as I can. I find passion in working with people who have committed acts they deeply regret, and I help them move forward in redemption and self-forgiveness. Furthermore, I discovered the truth in the reality that it is difficult to stop hurting others when we haven't dealt with our own pain - and we can't heal without the hope of redemption, which is why I like to use a method I call Redemption Psychology - or, for my fellow geeks and nerds, Superhero Redemption Psychology. I am direct, but with care, compassion, humility, and humor. My approach is integrative, tailored to your needs, highly informed by evidence-based practices combined with thoughtful selection on which method may best fit your therapeutic journey with me. Your past cannot change, but your relationship with yourself and others can.
